The Indigo Collection
Our experiments with natural indigo dye and leather continue with the second batch of the Indigo Collection.
We hand-dye each piece using real, natural indigo dye, using proprietary methods on Horween's Chromexcel leather, resulting in an unparalleled, rich, deep indigo blue. These pieces are dyed in small batches in limited quantities. Please see the "Leather info" tab for more information on the leather and the dying process as well as this blog post.
Specially engineered to cradle and hug your glasses for a snug, secure fit. Made exclusively in Chromexcel for it's soft flesh-side and pliability to form fit. Keep your glasses safe and scratch-free.

- Approximately 6 1/8" x 2 1/2" — will comfortably fit glasses with a combined height + folded depth dimension up to 3" (Will likely fit glasses slightly bigger as Chromexcel tends to be stretchy, but in that case, we cannot guarantee fit)

Please note:
- This case is not a hard case and therefore not meant to protect from excessive weight or shock.
- While we've taken care to remove excess indigo and seal the dye in, the indigo will most definitely rub off still, much like your favorite pair of raw jeans. This bleeding will subside after use. Please be mindful of staining lighter colored objects.
- Each batch is field-tested with a product sample to ensure quality standards are met. However, this process is uncharted and highly experimental so results may vary.

INDIGO
Indigo is one of the oldest dyes and has an extensive history that spans countries, cultures, and eras. Natural indigo dye is derived from plants—primarily from the genus Indigofera—and uses a living fermentation process to convert the leaves into indigotin (indigo dye) and again to activate and dissolve the dye in water.
All products in the indigo collection have been dyed using this ancient process.CHROMEXCEL
Developed and produced exclusively by world renowned tannery Horween (Chicago), richly touted as a beautiful, well-aging leather, with an incredibly soft and buttery hand. From Horween: "Chromexcel is the original pull-up leather; using time honored techniques and formulas that were developed nearly 100 years ago. Chromexcel is still produced in the United States using a bark retannage from a proprietary recipe, and then genuine hot stuffed with our secret blend of natural oils and greases. Chromexcel is characterized by a rich pull-up in full aniline, hand rubbed finishes. Made to this day with old world craftsmanship, modern Chromexcel carries on a long history of superior comfort and durability."
